Learn one of the oldest forms of divination still practiced today. In this four-week virtual workshop, you'll build your own throwing set, create a personalized throwing map, develop a relationship with your bones, and learn a complete system for interpreting readings with confidence.

In this class, we return to the tradition of creating prayer cloths, pieces that hold intention, protection, and purpose through every stitch. Each thread becomes a prayer, each layer a form of spiritual reinforcement.
You will be guided through the process of designing and creating your own prayer cloth while learning how to spiritually work it, feed it, and build a relationship with it beyond the class.
This experience is open to all levels, whether you are new to sewing or already working with your hands, the focus is intention over perfection.

Join The Hoodoo Doll Maker in Baltimore for an intimate two-day Hoodoo Doll Workshop centered on the history, construction, consecration, and ongoing care of Hoodoo dolls.
This hands-on experience is limited to 9 participants so each person can receive personal guidance throughout the process.
Day One will focus on crafting the physical body of the doll. Day Two, observed on All Saints’ Day, will focus on waking the doll through prayer, spiritual preparation, and consecration.
Day One: Crafting the Hoodoo Doll
Saturday, October 31, 2026
During the first day, participants will construct their Hoodoo dolls by hand while learning the history, symbolism, and spiritual purpose behind the work.
We will cover:
The history and purpose of Hoodoo dolls
Image magick within African American folk spirituality
Choosing fabric with spiritual intention
Cutting and sewing the doll
Stuffing and shaping the doll
Selecting herbs, roots, charms, talismans, and curios
Adding personal concerns and spiritual ingredients
Preparing the doll as a vessel for spiritual work
Participants will complete the physical construction of their dolls before the close of Day One.
Day Two: Waking the Hoodoo Doll
Sunday, November 1, 2026, All Saints’ Day
The second day will focus on spiritually preparing and waking the doll.
We will cover:
Cleansing and smoking the doll
Spiritually linking the doll to its purpose
Welcoming and naming the doll
Baptizing and consecrating the doll
Praying over the doll
Feeding and tending the doll
Bonding with the doll
Working with the doll after the workshop
Maintaining the doll as an ongoing spiritual tool
Day Two will conclude with guided dedication work and a closing prayer.

Blood Magick is an advanced, lecture-style class examining the historical, spiritual, and ethical use of blood across multiple traditions. This class explores blood as life force, covenant, offering, and spiritual contract, grounding the topic in ancestral practice rather than modern sensationalism.
Participants will study how blood has been understood and applied—both symbolically and physically—within Christianity, Hoodoo, African Traditional Practices, and general witchcraft. Topics include animal blood, menstrual blood, finger-prick blood, and the reasons blood work has always been approached with caution and restraint.
We will also cover blood-style inks and liquid substitutes, including how practitioners have used red inks and herbs and roots that produce blood-like substances as stand-ins when physical blood was unnecessary, unsafe, or inappropriate. Emphasis is placed on discernment—knowing when substitution is spiritually sufficient and when it is not.
Strong focus is given to ethics, consent, lineage responsibility, safety, and long-term spiritual consequences. This is not a ritual class and includes no demonstrations. The purpose is education, clarity, and ancestral understanding—not instruction to perform blood work.
