Helping Hands are an essential part of the event team and play an active role in creating a welcoming and organized experience for every participant.

Arrival & Departure

Friday, October 30

Arrival Day

Helping Hands should plan to arrive by the afternoon to allow time for check-in, introductions, grocery shopping, workshop setup, and team preparation.

Saturday, October 31

Workshop Day One

Assist with participant registration, classroom support, and workshop operations while fully participating in the day's lessons.

Sunday, November 1

Workshop Day Two

Continue supporting participants while taking part in the doll awakening and consecration work.

Monday, November 2

Cleanup & Reset

Assist with packing workshop supplies, inventory, cleaning the workspace, and resetting the Airbnb before departure.

Tuesday, November 3

Departure Day

Check out of the Airbnb and travel home.

Helping Hand Responsibilities

Helping Hands should arrive prepared to:

  • Assist with event setup

  • Prepare student workstations

  • Assemble workshop supply kits

  • Welcome and check in participants

  • Help distribute materials throughout the weekend

  • Assist with classroom organization

  • Help maintain clean workspaces

  • Support the instructor and traveling chef as needed

  • Assist with cleanup and packing

  • Help reset the Airbnb before checkout

  • Participate in daily team meetings

Lodging

Helping Hands will stay in a shared Airbnb with the event team from October 30 through November 3.

Please note:

  • Bedrooms are shared.

  • Private rooms are not guaranteed.

  • Bathroom sharing should be expected.

  • Be respectful of shared spaces and personal belongings.

  • Quiet hours should be observed each evening to allow everyone adequate rest.

Meals

Lunch and light refreshments will be provided during workshop days.

Helping Hands will also have access to meals prepared throughout the stay by our traveling chef.

Please notify us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions after registering.

Expectations

Helping Hands are representatives of the workshop throughout the weekend.

We ask that you:

  • Arrive on time each day.

  • Dress comfortably and respectfully.

  • Be willing to work as part of a team.

  • Remain present and engaged throughout the experience.

  • Treat fellow participants, the venue, and workshop materials with care and respect.

  • Limit personal phone use while assisting participants.

  • Refrain from recording workshop instruction unless permission is given.

Transportation

Helping Hands are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own transportation to and from Baltimore, Maryland.

Once you arrive, transportation during the event will be provided as space allows in the event vehicle.

Helping Hand registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
