About the Retreat
What the Women Knew is a four-day spiritual gathering centered around the knowledge women carry, the practices that have sustained us, and the wisdom that continues to move from one woman to another.
For four days, we will gather in the DMV for spiritual work, hands-on workshops, cleansing, prayer, communal altar work, movement, creativity, fellowship, rest, and joy.
We will explore what women knew about tending Spirit, working with their hands, cleansing themselves, gathering in community, creating what they needed, adorning themselves, and passing knowledge forward.
Some experiences will be announced in advance. Others will intentionally unfold according to the needs of the women gathered in the space.

• Community Spiritual Circle
• Communal altar building and spiritual work
• Ring Shout experience
• Full day dedicated to spiritual cleansing and restoration
• Headwrap Making & Adornment Workshop
• Spiritual Apron Making Workshop
• Community workshops led by our Helping Hands
• Spiritual supplies and materials for scheduled retreat workshops
• Day One Welcome Dinner
• Group evening out in the DMV, meal purchased individually
• Closing spiritual work and final circle
Important Travel & Meal Information
Lodging and transportation are NOT included in your retreat registration. Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodations and transportation to, from, and throughout the DMV.
One meal is included: our Day One Welcome Dinner.
Participants are responsible for all other meals, snacks, beverages, and dining expenses throughout the retreat. Our Day Three group dinner out in the DMV is part of the retreat itinerary, but each participant will purchase their own meal.
Additional location, arrival, preparation, attire, supply, and retreat details will be provided to registered participants as we move closer to July 2027.
